Build an independent career helping people protect their health and financial well-being.
As an independent contractor with Medicare Advisors, you can build your own client-focused practice while having access to an extensive training and support system designed to help you learn, grow, and develop your career.

Help people understand Medicare and related coverage choices during important life transitions.
Develop Medicare and insurance knowledge through structured training, mentorship, practical guidance and ongoing support.
Grow an independent business around education, referrals and long-term client relationships—with support behind you as you develop.
Build your own career—with a team behind you.
You work independently, but you do not have to figure everything out alone. Our goal is to give advisors the training, tools, mentorship and ongoing support needed to become a trusted resource for clients over time.
Meaningful client work
Educate people who are turning 65, retiring, reviewing coverage or trying to understand Medicare and related protection options.
Independent career growth
Build your own book of business, develop referral relationships and grow at a pace that fits your goals as an independent contractor.
Extensive training
Learn Medicare fundamentals, product categories, client conversations, compliant processes and practical sales skills through a structured development path.
Ongoing mentorship & support
Get help as you develop—from learning the business and preparing for client conversations to building consistent follow-up and referral habits.
Broader ways to help clients
In addition to Medicare solutions, appropriately licensed advisors may offer complementary coverage such as life insurance, dental, hospital indemnity and home healthcare plans.
A long-term practice
For the right person, this can become a durable independent practice built around recurring client service and a broader range of protection needs.
You may be a good fit if you want independence without having to build alone.
This is an independent-contractor role, so self-direction matters. At the same time, you will have access to a substantial training and support system to help you build knowledge, confidence and a professional practice.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working one-on-one with people.
- You like the independence of managing your own schedule, follow-up and appointments.
- You value accuracy, ethics and compliant client communication.
- You are willing to learn Medicare rules, complementary insurance products and annual changes.
- You want to build long-term relationships and help clients with needs that may extend beyond Medicare.
- You have a Life & Health insurance license—or are willing to explore obtaining one.
What the work can include
New to insurance or Medicare?
You do not have to know everything on day one. Our development approach is designed to help newer advisors learn the business step by step while experienced agents can build on what they already know.
Explore the role
Learn what Medicare advisors actually do and what a client-focused practice looks like.
Confirm licensing
Review your state’s Life & Health insurance licensing requirements and any applicable background requirements.
Train with support
Build knowledge of Medicare fundamentals, enrollment periods, compliance expectations, client conversations and complementary product categories with ongoing guidance.
Build your practice
Review independent-contractor expectations, contracting, carriers, compensation, training resources and the support available as you begin developing your practice.
Licensing, appointment, carrier, certification and contracting requirements vary by state, carrier and product. Opportunity details are discussed individually.
What prospective agents usually want to know.
Do I need prior Medicare sales experience?
No specific prior Medicare experience is required to start a conversation. The appropriate path depends on your licensing status, professional background, willingness to learn and the opportunities currently available.
Do I need an insurance license?
Insurance solicitation and sales require appropriate state licensing. If you are not currently licensed, we can discuss the general licensing path and what would be required before conducting regulated insurance activity.
Is this an employee or independent-contractor opportunity?
This is an independent-contractor opportunity, not an employee position. You are responsible for developing and managing your own practice, while Medicare Advisors provides training, mentorship, systems and ongoing support to help you develop professionally.
What products would I work with?
Your core work can include Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Part D. As appropriate for each client—and subject to licensing, carrier appointment and compliance requirements—you may also offer products that complement a Medicare client’s broader needs, including life insurance, dental coverage, hospital indemnity and home healthcare plans.
What training and support is available?
Training and support are central to the opportunity. The goal is to help you develop from where you are today through Medicare and product education, mentorship, client-conversation guidance, compliant processes, business-development support and ongoing coaching as you grow your practice.
Start a confidential career conversation.
Tell us a little about your background, what you want from an independent career, and what interests you about helping Medicare clients. This is a friendly exploratory conversation—not a commitment.
